I had not heard of this place until a friend went there. The facility is clean, the staff are nice & my friend says the food is good. I gave 4 stars because of the lack of parking. This probaby varies by the time of day and day of the week.

Usually good care though sometimes they were supposed to stay and feed my mom but would just leave the food for her.

This place is awesome!! My dad just recently was there for 6 weeks post op and rehabilitation for his partial hip replacement! Awesome staff throughout! PT and OT were awesome. He went in few days after his surgery in a wheelchair and came out walking with his walker better than he did before. This was his 2nd hip replacement in less than a year. He did more rehab here in 6 weeks than he did in another facility in Colorado that he was at for 12 weeks for his other hip. From CNA’s to Nursing, Social Services, Front desk help, Dr’s so good. We’re very professional and caring. I was actually sad to have to say good bye to the staff. But very excited to get my dad back home!!!

My mother has been in this facility for 2 years. Recently, she has been sick with the common flu/cold that’s going around for the last 3 days, they haven’t given her any medication (not even over-the-counter medication). She called me to ask me to bring her medication and cough drops because she is constantly coughing. The so-called nurses sit and chat while she is sitting in her urine, so she calls me asking me to call the nursing station to ask them to attend to her. The staff are rude and condescending and neglect the elderly. They have NO conscious, compassion, or dignity; they are so numb in this environment that I don’t think they are even human. The food is disgusting, so I have to bring food and snacks for my mother every other day. She basically eats the decent food I bring for her every other day; otherwise, she refuses to eat the food there. One patient in the room was calling for help, but the staff ignored him, so he asked me to help. If you love your parents, stay away from this place. Go see for yourself before you take one of your loved ones to this facility. If there was an option for NO star, I would have choose that option. I believe the 5-star reviews are fake.

I would like to take this time to acknowledge the excellent care my father has received while being at Sherwood Oaks Post Acute Care Center. I want to especially thank Dr Kumar, RN’s, CNA’s and staff who have maintained his daily care. We are very grateful.

It wouldn’t be fair to call this an ordinary Review. More like “Distinguished Service Award#. Their Facility and Staff are among the BEST Organizations doing a most critical Job required to improve the recovering Patients to HEALTH. The Staff (Under supervision of Maya Rodriguez) are very well trained to respond, in a very timely manner, to their Patients needs or requests. Their attention to duty is remarkable. Pressing your call buzzer summons an attendant who arrives within minutes of your call. I also found the food to be well presented , AND, tasty considering how many meals need to be cooked and served within minutes of them being ready. Respectfully, Laurence (aka Lonnie) Leeds

This place is as good as it gets. Located at foot hill of Santa Monica Mountains, the Facilities are nice and clean. Clientele is upper middle class judging from vehicles driven by visitors. What really stands out as a great organization is implemention of continuous improvement. Nurses, coordinators make rounds and get feedback. They optimize work flow after making corrections. What also strike me is all staff members got big smiles. I would think the owner treats the employees very well at a cost of less profit. But you get happy residents. Kudos to everyone. Some other observations. Maintenance techs check rooms frequently to make repairs on furniture.

Sherwood Oaks is the best post acute facility. My husband has been to 3 different post hospital rehab facilities over the last 5 years and this one is by far the best. The people are caring and attentive, the facility is clean, bright and smells nice. The therapists are great and he receives therapy 5 days a week. Communication with the patient and family is clear and thorough. There is always someone available if you need help or have a question. I am very impressed with Sherwood Oaks.

We visited Sherwood Oaks Post Acute yesterday and met with Maya Rodriguez and QA Nurse Glenda. They took the time to talk with us about how we can work together to best serve seniors, and it’s clear they truly care about the people they help. The facility was clean and welcoming, and every staff member we met — from the receptionist to Maya and Glenda — was pleasant and professional. We love working with people who lead with their hearts, because at the end of the day, this is all about human beings taking care of human beings.

My 91 year old father needed rehab from a hospital stay and has been recovering at Sherwood Oaks. My husband and I are very impressed with this facility. The staff is just fabulous and very invested in my Dad’s health and recovery. Everyone treats him so well and we expect a return home very soon. We also appreciate how clean the facility is and how well groomed they keep my Dad. Thank you for your hard work and dedication.

I have been to many nursing home facilities, but this one is the worst. They are discharging patients without following proper discharge protocols. They are not compliant with the established process for discharging patients. I have called them numerous times, but they have not provided any help or support with what I need. This nursing home is disappointing. As a facility owner myself this facility is Sucks! I will NOT recommend this place!

This place saved my ex husband’s life. The nurses are amazing. It’s so clean and bright. The P/T DEPT keeps my ex busy and learning how to use his new leg. I can’t say enough about Sherwood Oaks except for that the staff is so caring and wonderful.
